RDI - File system error: Read timed out.

I am using RDI 9.0.1 and recently (within the last week), I have been getting
time out errors on my connection to the IBM i.



“Operation failed. File system input or output error.

Message reported from file system: Read Timed out”



The timeouts occur when I have left the RDI application alone for (I am
guessing), about an hour or so.

What typically occurs is that I will return to RDI and start working on an open
source member and then attempt to save my changes.

But it will also occur when I attempt to open a member using CTRL-SHIFT-A.

I have a call into the lan / support people here to see if they can help, but in
the mean-time I thought I would check with the list.



I can recover by disconnecting and reconnecting or by closing RDI altogether and
reopening it.

I have also tried the ‘–clean’ command line option.
