It's not just that line. I only copied that line as an example.
It's every single line in the source.
When I copy a source member to a new source file, it has trailing blanks. For the line I gave screenshots for, I see these in hex in the copied version of the file as x'40'. In the original source it has no blanks so it doesn't have the trailing x'40'. However I'd expect those to be ignored.

I was going to suggest what Jon suggests as well.
Is it possible that this line is using the hex 22 or similar to highlight the line?
If so, then there is an open APAR that discusses this: SE63293

Have you tried looking at the lines in hex? Only thing I can think--
of is that there is an “invisible” character in there. I think on
some versions of Windows they no longer show up as blobs.

o Ignore trailing blanks (checked)
o ignore all blanks (checked)
o Ignore case
o Ignore comment
o Ignore sequence numbers (checked)
o Column restriction comparison

not,

I'm using RDi 9.5's latest test fix from 11/19.
