Bob, sorry I'm a little late to the party. You asked:

- Is there an alternate yet for MSGQ monitoring?

ANSWER: Yes. Take a look at the iSphere plug-in, v 2.7.0b007.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/isphere/files/beta-version/

The iSphere team have done a good job of incorporating the (old) Messages
subsystem from the RSE Extensions. Though only in Beta, it works well and
integrates nicely with the rest of the iSphere tools. Less plug-ins to
install AND it is supported. (It appears Softlanding/UNICOM no longer
provide on-going development and support for the RSE Extensions plug-in.)
