Logitech WIRED keyboard: K740

Logitech wireless mouse M510, that uses two double-AA batteries.

My missing backspace/delete keys is the LEAST of my problems with RDI, it happen quite rarely.

Last time it happen, I called over my co-worker, Pete, so he could verify the quirky behavior that I was seeing. I thought I LOSING MY MIND...

The cursor disappeared, the backspace/delete stopped working. I ask my co-worker Pete to verify what I was seeing. We open notepad, and could type, and went back to RDI, and could not type. I wish it was something as simple as Keyboard error. When I click on three different window views, then it started working again. Which hints to me a "repaint" issue. I HONESTLY do not know what causes it...

This type of error catches me off guard, because you do NOT expect it. I wouldn't mind making a video next time it happens. But, I guess I would have to film the screen, and then show my finger hitting the back-space/delete on the keyboard. It is like the keyboard listener for back-space/Delete gets "disconnected"...

I confirmed with the EDI RDI developer, that he runs into that on occasions. We are both thankful is happens rarely, but quite unsettling, and knocks me out of the "Programming Zone". He said he has only ran into the milky-white screen once. We have the same laptop.

Today, so far, knock on wood, RDI has been stable. I guess what made me go nuts, is that I went through creating a new workspace, and then I ran into these Issues and the Milky-White screen of death. Sorry, that made me lose it.
My ranting was unprofessional, I apologize again. Just ate another candy bar! <Joy Joy>

I have dashboard camera in my car. I almost would like to install a RDI "Screen-Camera" to catch RDI misbehavior. <LOL> I guess it would help me recalling EXACTLY what I was doing when the misbehavior happens. <Big Smirk> But, then I bet it would NEVER happen again! Which would be GREAT!!!!! <Big Smile> I just want it stable...

I guess I will see if reloading Windows might resolve issues, if that gets approve by my boss. And I get a loaner PC...

Ken,

Are you using a wireless keyboard & mouse by chance?

Sam,

Yup, on open previous PMR, they have had me send them those files. I
have also sent them my ENTIRE workspace too...

I try my best to report issue to IBM to get them fixed...

Just have not been able to repeat some errors. Today no lock ups Hurray!!!
Which is normal.

Approximately once every 3 weeks, my back-space and delete key stops
working. Guess what, restarting RDI "usually" resolve this. I have no
idea what triggers that flaky behavior.

I wonder if it logs that I hit the delete/back-space key, and it does
not work. I will check next time it happens. Thanks!

Ken,

I imagine IBM has likely told you this, but in workspace/.metadata
there is a file name .log. I believe it can log every thing that happens.
Maybe you could delete this file every time you start RDi, and when if
fails copy of .log and send it to IBM. Or, perhaps they would be
interested in the entire workspace.

That could be it...

RDI works great, as long as I do not use debug. About 95% of the
time it
flawless! But, that 5% can painful, especially when you are in the
"zone", and then it happens. It locks ups, unexpected results.
