It sounds like the sequence numbers are not taken into account (or
rather compensated for twice). But I can't reproduce this. If someone
who can, would open a PMR we can get to the bottom of this.
BTW is this in an iProject member as opposed to an RSE member? That
didn't cause trouble for me either. Even if I turn on the 'Strip
sequence numbers on download' preference,

If I recall, the same thing happened for me, and what I did was
double-click a variable after toggling highlight on.

Although the shifted highlight makes it awkward to use. I have nothing
highlighted, just a cursor in a variable definition (dcl-s) and the
highlights in the code don't highlight the variable, but 12 characters
to the right of the variable (the field name is 12 characters).

Clicking to another field doesn't change the highlights.
Double-clicking the new field does. I tried a smaller field name. The
field highlights are now highlighting not the field, but starting after
the first 12 positions after the start of the field.
Example, filePath is the dcl-s variable I have double-clicked. In the
line below, it is highlighting "I_IFS_PA"
filePath = BI_IFS_PATH_BEFORE_CLIENT

I just loaded the fix pack and tried the occurrences support. Doesn't
work at all for me.

No error messages, no highlight in wrong place. Just regular old RPG.

I'd report it but there's no symptomology beyond "Doesn't work".

I opened a source member from the host, double-clicked a field name,
selected the highlighter pen toggle - nothing. Toggled to the opposite
setting - nothing. Tried double-clicking in calls rather than D-spec -
still nothing.

Be happy to supply extra information Edmund but you'll have to tell me
what you need.

Maha,

I found the highlighter pen, and clicked on it for the toggle...

It does NOT WORK. It highlight random areas, it makes no sense at
all...
<Puzzled-Look>

Too bad, I love that feature in the Java Editor...

Oh well, maybe it will be fixed on the next release...
<grin>

PS. Should I report this to IBM Support for a fix?

Hi Ken,
This feature is unfortunately hard to discover. You need to select
the small icon that looks like a highlighter pen which "Toggles
marking occurrences of the given entity". Then double click on a
variable. It should mark all of its occurrences in the file.

Thanks,

Hi,

I just updated to RDi 9.1.1 and I notice this RFE:

RFE34041
Highlight Search
Fields in LPEX like Java
inside Eclipse

I just updated, and search for a field, and it does NOT highlight
search field like Java inside of eclipse... <disappointment>

Inside of eclipse, if you search for a field, all the fields are
highlighted...

Am I missing something?

The fix list is HUGE! 9 separate RFEs and 50 APARs. Plus some Java
security fixes. Wow.

To install it, close RDi, open IBM Installation Manager and click
Update.
Download size is 369.79 MB. Took under half an hour at home from
starting IM to running RDi 9.1.1.
