There are so many preferences I can never, ever remember which ones I've
altered from the default. I now use Registry Mechanic to record them so
I can set and forget. I haven't yet tried the new push to client
functionality, but I will after my current programming problem calms down.

With respect to the 12 column shift, you aren't by chance displaying
date columns are you? Suppressing the prefix area (line numbers)?
