For this program, the Optimization level is *NONE and the Debug date is *YES. I don't think you can optimize any lower than that, can you? I don't see anywhere in the CRTSQLRPGI command about optimization. The "Maximum optimization level" is *FULL; is this a factor in what is causing my problem?

You or your CMS can optimize an RPGSQLI program anyway. The best way to determine is to do a DSPPGM and hit enter a couple times until you see this. Notice the optimization level and Debug data. I think you can downgrade optimization level with a CHGPGM, but I don't know if that actually helps with debugging after its been optimized.
