You or your CMS can optimize an RPGSQLI program anyway. The best way to
determine is to do a DSPPGM and hit enter a couple times until you see
this. Notice the optimization level and Debug data. I think you can
downgrade optimization level with a CHGPGM, but I don't know if that
actually helps with debugging after its been optimized.

Not using Aldon. I have never had trouble using SEP debug on fully free
RPG code. Is the Aldon compile doing an OPTIMIZE(*FULL)?
