The IBM i Editing perspective is part of the Softlanding RSE Extensions. It's not present in RDP/RDi with only a base install.

Aaaah, that makes sense! Since I have always installed my Softlanding/Turnover client, I have always had that view! Thanks! Problem solved! I thought it was part of Rational Developer Base Install.
