Just for the archives, if you are having an issue like this, try going
to 'Window->Preferences->Help'
and setting the 'Open Help Search' to
dynamic help view and 'Open help contents' to in the help browser.

Windows apparently has a problem with opening a browser in this
context - maybe a 'default' browser issue - and can't respond
effectively. By using the internal browser my help is now functional
again...

thanks to Mike @IBM and thanks to those who responded.

Hi Group,

I just upgraded my PC and installed V9 fresh on Win7 Pro. I have
since added the V9.0.0.1 upgrade and through all of this I have
been unable to get the F1 key to do anything at all. No help. Going
to the Help Menu and choosing Help Contents has no result. I'm
stumped. I have tried every solution I could find on the web with
no results. When I start it up it briefly claims to be
initializing/updating help. Anybody have a suggestion? Thanks.
