Hi Kent,

Is your workspace on a network share that was lost when the VPN connection
went down?

In any case what you can try is the following to fix the config, if it
doesn't work then try using a new workspace?

Start a Command Prompt session by right-click on the icon then take the
Run-As-Administrator action (yes, even if you are using an admin id)
CD to the RDI install directory (eg. c:\program files\ibm\sdp or whatever)
Run the command "eclipse -clean"
When the RDI workspace selection dialogue comes up just close it
Try and start RDI as you normally would.

All the best, Mike

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Can't start RDi (V8)
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello,

My VPN connection dropped and after I got it started again I was not able
to start RDi. I tried rebooting my PC, but still unable to start RDi. When
I try to start it, I get an error window saying to see the log file in
eclipse\ibm.software.delivery.platform_8.0.0_1655873425\configuration.
When I checked the log file, there is this message in the log file
java.lang.IllegalStateException: MetadataRepositoryManager not registered.
I'm not sure what this error means or if this is my real problem. Any help
is greatly appreciated. Working in SEU stinks.

Thanks,
Kent Hohlen
