Thanks to everyone who has offered help so far.

Hi Mike - I ran the "eclipse -clean". It ran for about 15 seconds and then prompted me for my work space. I canceled that. I tried to start RDi normally and it looks like I get the same errors. I played around a little and it I right click on the IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software icon and select Run As Administrator it will prompt me for a work space and then will work.

My work space is not on the network, everything is local. I have lost my VPN connection before, but this is the first time I've had an issue.
