FYI, The latest patch does not have a relevant fix for this.
Best solution would be to provide RPG and DSPF DDS snippet to reproduce.
Others could confirm issue and open APAR. We are not planning to enhance
the static outline, so the fix will go into the live outline, in a future
release.

Thanks Edmund! I always appreciate your feedback, and the team's hard work
on the Rational Developer Software!
Yup, this SQLRPGLE, and the Compile list does show the *XREF, and shows the
selected *indicator in the cross reference at the bottom of the compile
listing...
The Indicator happens to be *IN28, and the compile list shows this:
*IN28 N(1) 32000006 41000003 050500M
052500M
120300M 134000M
143200M
This happens to be an indicator on the DDS keyword SFLEND.
Even creating a brand new work-space, the outline view did not show where
the *indicator is being used...
Oh well, I have gone back to the Search, instead of the outline view...
I have tried RDi 9.0, and it does NOT either load Indictor usage properly
in the outline view. I am on the trial, and have not applied that latest
patch. I only have 4-days left on the trial RDi 9.0 anyway...
It show "*IN28" in the Indicator view. But does not show the 7-lines where
referenced. Instead, when I click on it, it only shows the first occurrence
of the reference to *in28. <Puzzled-Look> Just like RDP 8.0 and 8.5
I try to encourage my fellow developers to use Rational Developer, so I
have a stronger case to convince management to purchase the support and get
the new version of RDi 9.0. But, with approx. 70% developers NOT using
Rational. It is a hard sell... <frown>
And any minor glitch that pops up on Rational, the newbies scream: "That is
why I stick to SEU...". <sigh>
I for one, love using Rational over SEU! But, I have been using it 7-years
actively, so I am use to little minor "quirks"...
<grin> It is still 100 times better than SEU!!! <Joy Joy>

You might want to check the compiler listing XREF section, to see if it
thinks those indicators are referenced. That is what the static outline in
8,0 is based on.

windows>preferences>Remote Systems>File Cache
Clicked the "Clear Cached Files" button, and the refreshed the outline
view, and it still is not loading the indicator usage properly...
Recompiled the display file. Manually reload of the outline view. Then
recompile the program, and manual refresh of the outline view. And the
indictor usage is STILL NOT being loaded...
It does show in the indicator usage, just does not show the lines where it
is used...
Am I missing some other place to manually reset?
This indictor is being referenced 5 places inside the code, and yet does
not show it in the outline view. But, does use indicator usage for an
indicator, that is only reference once...
This is perplexing...

Note, I have changed the Workstn file, so, I am pretty sure this is related
to the "Cache" not being "REFRESHED"
Is there a way to force a reload of the workstn for the outline view? I
guess I will try to clear cache.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDP 8.03 --> Outline for Indicators NOT WORKING
Hi,
It appears that outline view does not work. I am checking indicator usage
on an existing program. And it does not show the lines where the indicator
is being used. I did a manual refresh, and it still does not load...
Do I need to clear something to get the outline to work for indicators?
RDP 8.0
PS. My company has not purchased the license for 9.0, so I am now stuck on
the previous release.
