I try to push Rational Developer to my fellow Developers. And sadly, with these stability issues, it SOURS them on RDP/RDI immediately....
A few have already gone back to "RELIABLE" SEU. Because they encounter one little glitch, and I get the "See that is why I don't use it..."
<Big Frown>
It used to be that IBM was "Trailing Edge Technology", it wasn't released until it was reliable.
(In General...)
For now, I have gone back to RDP 8, because I don't have all these little issues. It seems to be mostly little issue with Eclipse 4.2, rather than RDI.
I for one refuse to go back SEU, except for little test programs under 10-lines of code...
<LOL> I still use SEU about 1% of the time... <grin>

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Expanding one filter retrieves all filters
This has happened several times since upgrading to RDI 9.0. I can't find what causes it, but sometimes when I expand one filter in the Remote Systems view, all filters are retrieved. I'm not certain, but it could be just the filters under the same filter group. I can't find anything in the log file
I notice that the system seems to crank and crank away in the background tasks. If I open the Progress view, I see all my filters listed as being retrieved. I can click on the red buttons at the right of each filter and it does stop retrieving them, but I don't understand why it wants to retrieve them to begin with. It just delays my work a lot, but there's another developer who would simply go back to using PDM/SEU if it happened to them.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any ideas on (a) configuration change/changes that could help?
Thanks,
Michael Quigley
