To use multi-monitor Remote Desktop, launch it from the RUN box (Win+R) instead of using the icon, with the span switch:
mstsc /span
Works great.

As a related question to the Remote Desktop, my biggest problem in using it from home is that it seems to allow only one display. At Work I have two good sized displays and although I have two monitors at home, I can't seem to access them with remote desktop. I use Logmein to use my home PC over the internet when needed and they have a button to switch among the displays.
So far I haven't found that capability with remote desktop.
Anyone else have a solution for the multiple display problem?

Jim,
Can you just use Remote Desktop from home to access your PC at work? This often works MUCH better than running the client on the PC at home, and trying to squeeze all the TCP/IP traffic through the VPN connection. With Remote Desktop accessing the development workstation at the office, you get the same operational performance at home as you get at work.
