the IBM i Editing Perspective comes from SoftLanding Systems. It's freely
available on their website. Follow the instructions at:
http://www.softlanding.com/Products/TURNOVER-RSE-Extensions.aspx
It definitely adds some useful features. I don't think the 'IBM i Editing
perspective' adds anything unique. It simply sets up commonly needed
views in a very useable combination. I always customize it by adding a
few other fast views: Job Status, Remote Search, Service Entry Points,
etc. The only view other than the LPEX editor I leave up all the time is
the outline--everything else I put in a fast view.
Regarding fast views the one thing I have to train the folks I work with
on is to not close the views after they 'pop-up'. Generally, I press F12
to return to the editor. But you can click to minimize them.

I do not see the IBM i Editing in the Open perspective, other list...
