I meant to say "SAVE", not "set",my preferences, like Colors, Keyboard mapping, preferences, etc....
Some things, I can copy from my old-workspace into my new work-space, if I do it very carefully. Which I usually only copy some customized filter for my change management, SoftLanding/Turnover Filters. A 3rd party change management tool...
So far creating a new workspace resolve my debug problem anyway...

Hi,
I tried to debug a production job again today, and I got this Error message:
Unable to restore directory source lookup entry - missing path attribute

Sounds like some setting or something is amiss inside my work space...
So...
I create a new workspace, and it now seems to work. Yippee!! Which I could just correct the problem. Because now I have to redo all my customization. Filters, colors, preference, etc...
The hardest thing is remapping my customized shortcuts keys...
Visual Studio has an Export function for preferences...
Yes, I did copy workbench setting. But, that is the easiest one to remap....
Is there a way to set customized settings & Preferences?

Hi,
I had to debug a production program, and RDP 8.5.1 would NOT find the source, when I went to debug the job...
I even specified the source file to use again...
So...
I open up RDP 8.0.3, and that worked perfectly! Just how I remembered it! No problems at all. I wonder why RDP 8.5.1 get's hung up on trying to find source for debug? And yet, RDP 8.0.3. does not have a problem! Yeah!
This hints that there is a bug with this RDP 8.5.1.
OH well, maybe the next service pack will fix it.
PS. Normally, I use the "IBM I Service Entry points", and that seem to work great! But not the good old "Debug Job". Strange.

Hi,
Using the RDP 8.5.1 to debug a job, it CANNOT find the source....
But, using the Service entry points, it DOES find the source....
Any idea why the debug job cannot find the source. I even tried adding the ibm source file, and it still cannot find the source....
I get the "Source not found" and the "Edit Source Lookup Path..." button...
Which shows my source files...
Am I missing something here?

I have always used IBM Installation Manager to initiate the installation.
Seems to do the trick without a hitch. Worth updating IM first to the latest version, (free download).
