Hi,

I was trying to get help on Keywords on the D-SPECS, not any code-assist for variables...

I was trying to get keywords for an Array, like "PERRCD" & "CTDATA"...

It had worked before...

I often use code-assist to help with option keywords....

I tried doing a Cntrl+Shift+F5 to refresh the outline, and it still did not work...
:(

Glad to see it is already reported problem.

PS. Closing the member and re-opening it did work however! Just as the link pointed out!
Thanks!

Did you click the refresh button in the outline?

Thanks Eric,

We tried that and it still gave the same error. We uninstalled the older version and had the v8.5 installation disk available on the windows desktop and then it installed fine. I don't know if the installation would have worked fine after uninstalling v8.0.3 without the installation disk available on the desktop, but it does appear that could be the case.

To be honest, there was no reason why v8.0.3 was installed other than it wasn't uninstalled when we upgraded to v8.5 (some users are overly cautious with new versions.) If you want help in chasing the cause of this problem down then let me know, otherwise I am happy that my user is now working on the same version as the rest of us.

Paul,

One thing to try is to have the 8.5 image available as well. Depending on what is already installed, the original install image can be needed if you are using the zip.

Hi,

Two of us have installed the update with no issues whatsoever, but the third programmer gets as far as "Select the features to install" (in installation manager's update process) and a popup window asks for the installation disk: "Insert First Disk. Disks used for installation are unavailable."

We didn't install using disks - I downloaded a ZIP file and we used that.
The zip file or its contents are not on any of our PCs so why is this one user's update asking for the install disks?

The only difference between his setup and the successfully updated ones is that he also has RDP v8.0.3 installed in the 32-bit ProgramFiles(x86) folder (where the RDP v8.5 installation name is differentiated by a _1 and is installed in the 64-bit ProgramFiles folder). Otherwise I've compared the installation manager and RDP v8.5 setup (and properties) and it is identical.

Is there any way I can get this update to work without completely uninstalling two versions of RDP and re-installing v8.5 again?

-Paul.

For the IBM i changes, there were about 8 RFEs implemented and over 30 APARs fixed. In addition, there is now some hover and hyper-link support for ILE RPG (when the Live Outline is enabled).

You can submit/review/vote RFEs at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/index.jsp

Thanks,
Eric
