Hey all,

This just now happened to me again. I was not editing, had no editors
opened. I changed the font for menus in Windows from 8pt to 10pt. WHAMMO -
Rational disappeared! Not a regular occurrence but thought I'd mention it.
There was no left-over JVM running after it disappeared.

Happens to me as well, although definitely not regularly. The last time it
happened I got the impression (dunno why) that it was due to includes. I
have several dozen includes that include other includes which may include
the original one again, with conditional directives so that they're not
included twice. I had the thought that it was due to a structure in a
structure in a structure in a structure... The outline *seems* to be able
to handle these structures (unsure to how many levels) but the content
assist sure does not! It's like they don't even exist.

We haven't been able to determine the root cause, but the following is
known:

-- IBM believes it may be a specific Op Code or series of Op Codes
causing the issue. Something is returning a Null event during the Verify or
Outline process.

down of the code to isolate it, but haven't cornered it. The /COPY book
causing it has 28,000 + lines of code, not by our design (by vendor) which
is why it's not easy to zero in on.

That's about all I can offer at this time.

If you note it crashes outside of doing either the Verify or Outline

Ken, thank you for the info

In my case it would be the outline refresh.

Do you have any insight as to how the source
member triggers the problem, so I can do
something to avoid this disruption ?
