Scott, I pretty much agree with much of your sentiment. On the other
side of the coin, I also understand IBM not wanting to support SEU, but
that's a different argument. But I did want to say one thing: RDP on a
decent workstation absolutely screams in Windows 7. I've avoided
leaving XP forever, but times caught up with me and I ended up with a
new box both at home (to run decent music software) and at work, and
both have Windows 7. I use RDP and RBD on both, and life is very good.
As quick as bringing up a member in SEU? No. But it's getting awfully
close. A source file with dozens of members opens almost instantly.
Hundreds of members takes a couple of seconds. Opening a member is
almost instantaneous as well, especially for small members. Something
with 10000+ records takes a second or two.
