RDP seems to currently have an aversion to syntax checking in RPG III,
and you have to turn it off. The symptom, though, is exactly as you
describe.
I was working on an obscure piece of RPG III code that had to be converted to RPG IV and was attempting to be 100% certain that I knew all of the behavioural issues to be certain of a clean replacement.
