Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Opening RPG source gives trailing blanks
I don't see it in 7.6, Kurt; newly read source members come in
end
I haven't tried 8.0 yet.
Joe
I'm back to RDp 8.0 trial (with a new computer) while I wait for thelicense key.
When I open an RPG source member (via a filter, if that matters), thesource opens with trailing blanks. Is there any way to stop this from
happening? It removes the ability for me to press End and go to the
of a line. What I need to do to get around this is to make a changeto
the source (such as replacing a space with a space) and then save thein
source (which is set to trim all trailing blanks).
The downside to the work-around is that we currently compile ourprograms as *SOURCE, and if the source changes, you get that message
debug which inspires a lack of confidence in using that source todebug
with.
I don't recall this happening in WDSCi 7.
This did happen in RDp 7.6 (trial).
