The announcement is on IBM's own website...here's the link:

So the rules must be changing...being more like Microsoft? lol

Hello,

I must've missed something.

WDSC is unsupported as of April 2010.
--buck

WDSC is part of 5722-WDS in v5r4, isn't it? And IBM's strategy has
always been to support the licpgms for a given release as long as the OS
for that release is supported. It's part of their integrated strategy,
everything is tested together, and supported together.

IBM has not yet announced end-of-support for V5R4. Ian Jarman's
statements that IBM will now be supporting a current release and two
previous releases implies that they won't announce end of support for
v5r4 til 7.2 (or 8.1 or whatever the next release is called) likely in
2012. They promise 1 year notice between the announcement and the
actual end of support. So v5r4 is likely to go until 2013.

So I must've missed something. When did they announce end of support for
WDSC separately from everything else?!
