The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
IBM has already rebranded and modified Rdi. They now call it RDP.
RDP is not free.
However, IBM is ending support for WDSCi very soon now. You can continue using WDSCi until some future operating system upgrade breaks it. Once it breaks, you have to live with the loss of functionality or switch to RDP.
The same goes for PDM and SEU. These tools have been "stabilized," which means no more fixes or upgrades. You can continue to use them until a future operating system upgrade breaks them. Once they break, you just have to live with the loss of functionality or switch to RDP.
If you stay with OS (a.k.a. AS400, iSeries, i5, IBM i, Power 7) IBM is eventually going to get your money with RDP.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Rdi from the ground up. OS 6.1.
We have 6.1 on our as/400. I am told that I should use Rdi as a GUI
developer.
Can I get some help on how to get it, what the cost is, if there is a trial
version.
I think if there is a cost that may end my venture with Rdi.
Thanks.
