There was a problem of the installation manager when going from version
1.2.1 to 1.3 where the JRE got 'lost' in certain cases.

has steps on how to get installation manager installed again

When I launch the IBM Installation Manager, I receive a window titled
IBMM. In it is the following:

A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK)
must be available in order to run IBMM. No Java virtual machine
was found after searching the following locations:
C:\Program Files\IBM\Installation
Manager\eclipse\jre_5.0.3.sr8a_20080811b\jre\binj9vm\jvm.dll

As far as I know, RDi provides it's own JVM for the installation manager
and main application.

Are you sure the install package is complete and stable?
