The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Give the Ctrl-H a try. For searching over a single source it's great (or even multiple sources with similar names).
As Justin and I have both found, doing a Find String (searching on a filter) takes a horrible amount of time to do.

You used the Ctrl-H or Flashlight Button or Search Menu > Search then clicked on iSeries Search?
It would have been right clicking on a filter then search.
I haven't had an issue with timeout. Did you get an error message?
It's been a while. I don't recall the details. I just know I didn't get what I wanted, so I went to WRKOBJPDM and keyed 25 to find.
