Under Window/Preferences , then to General Capabilities, there is a Classic
Update selection.
By checking that you can get the previous behavior. Though I doubt that
customers will have that checked by themselves, and it adds a manual step to
installation.

What is the proper way to install a vendor plug-in to RDI 7.5?
Previously, on the Help menu, there was a 'Manage Configuration' sub
menu under 'Software Updates' . Then I would select 'Add an Extension
Location'. I found a link to 'Manage Configuration' in the Help so I
guess you can still use it, but maybe there is another way.
