With WDSC 7.0 preferences, you can go to Run/Debug -> Compiled Debug
window, select "Always use Debugger Editor while debugging".

Bless you Kirk! That solves both problems - well almost - more in a moment.

The bug then seems to be be that either:

a) The lpex editor should support these features and doesn't

Or

b) The options should be grayed out _unless_ the option "Always use ..." option is selected.

As to the "almost" comment - double-clicking on an entry in the D- specs doesn't work because the idiot thing seems to include the leading spaces between the "D" and the name as part of the name. That's a bug surely? When you double-click on a field reference in the calcs it does work and the leading and trailing specs are correctly stripped.
