Hello,
We've just been doing our first go with WDSC recently, something

Source editing is fine. BUT.
We went to compile an RPGLE program, and got a message that we

handle on which PTFs etc. I haven't handled PTFs for the last
fifteen years or so, and couldn't figure my way to the PTFs on the
IBM PTF site either. Sys admin here is overloaded, and I'm the guy
here who is the most eager to get to the good stuff, so it's me.
I poked around in the archives and on IBM's web site and couldn't
find something helpful.
So my last resort is here, where to go to find these PTFs?!
Thanks

Okay, to start with, go into WDSC into Remote Systems Explorer. Under
your connection you should see an element called "Objects". Right
click on that puppy and select the Verify Connection... option. That
will fire up a dialog that will tell you more than you ever wanted to
know about the connection, including all the PTFs it needs.
Once you've done that, the next step is to get the PTFs, but that's a
different subject, and you can probably find a lot more information
for on the regular midrange-l list.
