I hope to do that some day. From what you and Joe have conveyed (and one of
my customers), it sounds like IBM has put together some "chance of a decade"
type training with Sayles being involved and all. If it ever came as a
recommendation from me then it would most likely be writing software for
another vendor needing platform independence or a shop that has already
heavily embraced Java. Either one of those I deem a good fit for EGL (or at
least worth the effort to pursue it and see what business value it could
provide).

GWT is cool. I am blown away by what those folks produce (so far, for
free!).

Agreed. I have a customer in the insurance industry (on the IBM i) that
gave me a sampling of what his team has done with GWT. Makes me really want
to get some of my money-paying-projects out of the way so I can "play" like
you :-)
