Now THAT is intriguing. I have that same need for another client where they
only allow certain IPs to connect to their machine, and being that I don't
have a static IP at my home office I gave up trying to have them keep it up
to date (I get a new IP each time I reboot my router). So instead I have to
telnet and use green screen <frown> to edit my RPG. Is it just a Java
program sitting in a batch job, or how does it work? How about
responsive-ness?

How much of a footprint does it leave on the i? I don't want to consume
a
whole bunch of CPU cycles on my customers machines.

I have a scenario where the local i can telnet to many other i's but my
local PC cannot, but I have full access to the local i. Running the
proxy on the local i allow me to see the remote i's from my PC, and it
only consumes resources on the local i.
