Joe, each time you select Install or Update option from IM, it'll check if
there's any new udpate for itself and will force
you to udpate before allowing you to continue.
You can disable this IM update checking by de-selecting the checkbox
"Search service repositories during installation and updates.".
Then IM won't check for any update. Note that the product's update may
specify a higher level of IM. In such a case, you'll be prompted
to update IM.

I did as well.
Just wondering... why are people updating IM? Just checking for new
goodies? I had to update to the latest version in order to install RDi,
but otherwise I wouldn't have gone looking for updates unless I heard
there was a new version of one of the tools I was using.
