Commands look right. You can try a dspdtaara *lda output(*print) from the
command prompt and check the printout to see if it's working. If that's
okay, then something else must be the problem, but I'm out of ideas for
what
to look for tonight. Maybe someone else will pipe up with something.

Thanks for your input. I did a dspdtaara and the library where the EVFEVENT
file resides, is in the LDA. Kevin, yes I did have a CHGCURLIB
CURLIB(&OBJLIB) just before ending the CL program. One other note, when I
use the supplied CRTCBLPGM, the Error list is returned automatically.
Something is happening between the compile/CL program ending and return to
WDSC. Looking at the iSeries Command log, the messages are exactly the
same.
