Avoiding PCs like the plague! We've been a pretty diehard thin client shop
for a long time and have reaped the benefits many times over. We have
about 7 office PCs company wide that are used day to day. Our next PC
refresh cycle will replace 3 of them with thin clients. We will provide
PCs for apps that are proven to REQUIRE them for business purposes... our
experience over that past 8-10 years is that there are very few real need
for them.

Citrix? That's an interesting choice for implementing a development tool.
We use Citrix for a number of applications, but this isn't one that we'd
consider for it. Out of curiosity, what's driving this choice?

Our concerns are more brought on with getting it all working in a Citrix
environment for 4 programmers across 4 servers. Our developers have to
want the change pretty badly in order to devote resources to getting the
new version up and running (which we'll be doing again late this year,
whether it's WDSC 7 or RDi). WDSC on a PC is a whole different ballgame
than getting (and keeping) it working in a Citrix environment (especially
CODE, etc.)... it's possible, but i'm just saying something has to drive
such a project - it's not something that fits into our business/systems
plan on a whim!
