Things like op-codes should be relatively easy to implement in SEU. In fact, I thought I heard someone say that WDSc uses the same API's as SEU for such validation. By extension I would think that RDi would, too. It is the "code re-use" principle, after all.

But I'm getting old; perhaps I was hallucinating (No, wait, the 60's are over. Right?).

What happens if one tries to use new language features in SEU?

Recall when IBM announced that the CL command interface had been stabilized, and that new features would be added only to iSeries Navigator? I'm glad they repented of that decision.

I feel the same way about SEU. The platform needs a thin-client option, and I think customers would be willing to pay for one.

Nathan.
