Can you debug in that system which failed SEP?

Subject
[WDSCI-L] Authority and firewalls

Hi,

I can set a SEP on one iSeries successfully, but I can not set any SEPs
on a different iSeries. On the machine that fails there is no error
message in any related joblog I can find on the iSeries (v5r4) or in
WDSC (v7004), and WDSC slows down after the attempt. I have tried to
refresh the SEPs, but the list remains empty and WDSC remains sluggish
until I close it.

I think the problem may be some sort of authorisation or firewall
setting.

Can anyone give me a definitive list of TCP/IP ports that need to be
open on the client and/or the server for SEP debug?

Can anyone give me a list of objects on the iSeries that I need
authority to so that I can set and use a SEP successfully?

Thanks for all the help you can give.

- Paul.
