I just talked to another gentleman from an iSeries shop this morning thatI'm not sure how much I agree with that philosophy: if it doesn't work right away, dump it. That's kind of what I thought forums were for, actually. But be that as it may, the Wiki is a good deal.
had the same issue. We're not alone :-) SOme people just choose to drop
the pursuit of EGL vs. try and figure it out and posting to a forum. That
is why it is VERY important to have this info out on the wiki.
FWIW, you could have just as easily re-worded the wiki vs. throwing us intoI was far more worried about the Wiki becoming a haven for editorializing than I was about the content. Those who need the content can edit the content; that's what it's for. But another VERY important part of the Wiki process is making sure it doesn't get abused, and I wanted to make sure that that discussion was held in plain view. It's been done, and we can move on.
this debate, agreed? Nobody is trying to blatantly shoot down EGL, though I
will give it a hard critique and set of criteria to measure up to. Would
you do any less?
