I just talked to another gentleman from an iSeries shop this morning that
had the same issue. We're not alone :-) SOme people just choose to drop
the pursuit of EGL vs. try and figure it out and posting to a forum. That
is why it is VERY important to have this info out on the wiki.
I'm not sure how much I agree with that philosophy: if it doesn't work right away, dump it. That's kind of what I thought forums were for, actually. But be that as it may, the Wiki is a good deal.

FWIW, you could have just as easily re-worded the wiki vs. throwing us into
this debate, agreed? Nobody is trying to blatantly shoot down EGL, though I
will give it a hard critique and set of criteria to measure up to. Would
you do any less?
I was far more worried about the Wiki becoming a haven for editorializing than I was about the content. Those who need the content can edit the content; that's what it's for. But another VERY important part of the Wiki process is making sure it doesn't get abused, and I wanted to make sure that that discussion was held in plain view. It's been done, and we can move on.
