Thanks Mike! I will give this a try.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] WebFacing - Create Hyperlink for MNUDDS

When using the system menu constructs there is part of the screen that is
presented by your MNUDDS and part presented by a system screen. From
memory I think that the record name is MENUSN or maybe MENULN and the
field is CMDLINE for the system screen entry field. You can check this by
running your app and looking at the source that the browser gives you. So
I think that the Web Setting that you are searching for will look
something like this...

A*%%WB 12 FLD 4 fld=&{MENULN.CMDLINE.REF}|value=1|func=ENTER

OK. I thought I had this figured out, but I don't.

I want to create a Hyperlink for an IBM MNUDDS menu option.

So for example if there is text on the MNUDDS that says, "Item Master" I
want the user to click the hyperlink that says "Item Master" and to
force
that menu option # (say, 01) into the MNUDDS selection field.

I have found that it iss pretty simple to create a hyperlink for a
standard
DDS display file field or text, because you have input fields there you
can
use to pop the required value into.

But I cannot figure out what "field" to insert the selection value into
for
a hyperlink for an MNUDDS menu. There is no "normal" input field like
you
would have on a display file.

I've looked online and although I have found several Web Facing
references
and articles, they are almost all very superficial.

Surely SOMEONE is using Web Facing in a production environment by this
time?
It's been out for over 7 years now.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?...

Someone from the Webfacing team maybe reading the list messages today?
Hopefully.

Thanks,

Shannon O'Donnell
