Sorry for the double reply. I just remembered yet another compare function that you can use. If you have a member open in the RS LPEX editor, click the blue delta/triangle in the toolbar (or 'Edit -> Compare to file...'). Then, browse to the desired member for comparison. I just did a quick test and this method seems to ignore the sequence number and date. IIRC, it is the same as the compare function from the CoDE editor.

From my perspective, there are two negative aspects of this compare function. Firstly, it is a PITA to browse to the comparison target repeatedly. Secondly, it presents the differences in "stacked" format (ala diff or CMPPFM), but distinguishes adds/deletes by colours instead of front-of-line characters. Every time I use it I have to think a bit about which colour means which, but that maybe that is a matter of a PEBKAC and this won't be a problem for others.
