This is too easy an argument in my opinion. Eclipse in itself is extensible but how easy is it to add new iSeries specific functionality or modify existing things?

From what I see in the online help the only thing extendible is RSE, not the rest.

Why shouldn't you be able to do system admin stuff from an IDE if it makes
your life as a programmer easier?

Waste of time. I want something that makes me a more productive programmer,
not a faster administrator.
Often these overlap. I see no reason why they could not co-exist, as others obviously would like them to.

Literally dozens. More templates. Bidirectional prototype editing. Screen
Designer. Better /free conversion. You name it.

Plenty of stuff for the next couple of releases :)
