Don't worry about that one, unless you're on V6 or earlier... At V7, that port is no longer "required"...

Re: resetting a connection...
As Vernon pointed out, you can simply right-click on the connection profile and disconnect, then reconnect. This should close out any open connections to the host (releasing locks on files as well...)
