Thanks Eric, You are spot on, the verify (w/o prompt) gave an RNF0401:
error
occurred during communication when retrieving /copy and external
definitions.

Have you tried verifying your connection? Right-click on the iSeries
Objects (the first entry under your connection) and select Verify
Connection.
