Here's the help text from a CRTBNDxxx command:

*EVENTF
Create an Event File for use by CoOperative
Development Environment/400 (CODE/400). The Event
File is created as a member in file EVFEVENT in the
library where the created module or program object is
to be stored. If the file EVFEVENT does not exist it
is automatically created. The Event File member name
is the same as the name of the object being created.

That said, I believe I have seen another similarly named file used in
certain cases. I don't recall for certain so don't hold me to it.
However, I've regularly seen an EVFEVENT file in the target library for my
compiles. Jeff, are you sure there's no file named anything like EVFEVENT
in your "standard test library" and if not, are you using OPTION(*EVENTF)
when you compile into that library?

I too have noticed multiple EVFEVENT files. Shouldn't there only be a
single one in *CURLIB, which for me is JLCLIB? (JLCLIB only exists for
this
purpose. I don't use it for anything else.)

I think the library I'm compiling into has something to do with it, but
there's more to it than that. The vast majority of my compiles go into
library JEFF, my "standard test library", yet there's no EVFEVENT file
there.
