Use *NOT or *GE, *NE, *LT, etc instead of the 'NOT' symbol. That character
the ampersand(&) and the vertical bar(|) are not always translatable if
you work with multiple national languages.

[WDSCI-L] NOT Symbolic Operator
Having fits trying to code a clle member, because the normal symbolic
operator for ‘NOT’ doesn’t seem to be available on the keyboard. Using
the
shift-6 key is supposed to work with multinational character sets; the
member compiles but fails to execute because of that character. Is there
a
keyboard mapping function available, or am I just missing the correct key?
