Thanks for posting this Bill. Did you get those instructions from IBM
support?
By the way, I wasn't suggesting that a new workspace would be the only way
to solve the problem. It was just a suggestion for determining if cache
or workspace issues are the source of the performance problems rather than
hardware.
That said, I have recommended new workspaces in the past because that's
what IBM support has suggested to other developers here in the past. I
think that poor performance of the outline/verify can also be caused by a
corrupted workspace, in which case clearing the cache alone may not be the
answer.
For what it's worth, If I have this problem again, I will take these
steps:
1. Clear both caches and restart the workbench.
2. If the problem is not resolved, restore my workspace from backup.
3. If the problem is still not resolved, create a new workspace.
