even though i'm not a mac fan i'm glad IBM is porting WDSC to other platforms (hope linux is next!!!) at least if they are putting forth that effort we all stand to gain since they aren't painting themselves into a corner!
If IBM has written WSDC without native code (e.g. by using jtopen for all communications) and without relying on IBM JVM specifics, it should be possible to move the plugins to any other Eclipse, and it would be an untested, unsupported platform.

Unfortunately I think it needs to be a full Rational product to do so, i.e. Rational Application Developer or so, which isn't available on OS X either.
