I have edited JSP and HTML through the web project I created in WDSC and
they work fine. Never tried a .INI file. I was trying to clarify that
if I worked _within_ WDSC everything was fine. It's when I tried to bring
in a file from another application (.doc, .txt, etc.) that I had problems.
I think I was using V5 the last time I tried. Maybe it would work for me
now.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.

I've edited files from within WDSC (typically accessing the files using
Remote Explorer's IFS capabilities) and also accessed those same files using
"traditional" methods including EDTF and Notepad/Wordpad on a mapped drive
(my personal favorite text editor is Notetab Pro, but that's a different
topic).

I have created stream files using RPG programs and Java programs, as well as
copying, pasting and editing them using Windows. I've then accessed those
same files using WDSC and non-WDSC methods and had no problems. One type
that I consistently use both WDSC and non-WDSC editors on is the CSS file.
I'll use WDSC because its CSS editor is very powerful, but I'll make quick
changes using Notepad.
