I have edited JSP and HTML through the web project I created in WDSC and they
work fine. Never tried a .INI file. I was trying to clarify that if I worked
_within_ WDSC everything was fine. It's when I tried to bring in a file from
another application (.doc, .txt, etc.) that I had problems. I think I was
using V5 the last time I tried. Maybe it would work for me now.

I tried this with an earlier version of WDSC and experienced the same
issues you are. IIRC, the only way I could get the changes to write
back to the original location was to export them. Once I realized
what was happening I stayed away from editing anything other than
iSeries source or web projects I created in WDSC.

It would be nice if editing .doc, .xls, or other file types could be
done in WDSC from time to time. Maybe someone has a better answer.

I edit JSP, HTML, .INI, text files, all just fine from WDSC. I've never had an
issue.

Joe
