I have just started delving into using the data perpsective of WDSCi

I normally do 'WRKOBJLCK <my user profile>' to determine which jobs WDSC
is using to communicate with the System i. I'm not sure if this will work
for QZDASOINIT, but it's worth a try.
2. What advantages are there in loading Quantum DB plugin over the
existing Data Perspective.
I found the Data Perspective to be cumbersome compared to the Quantum DB
plugin, but that's just my preference I guess. It's worth noting that the
tools for working with DBs are improved in version 7, and I find them
easier to use now. That said, I'm still sticking with using Quantum
because it's familiar by now, and I like the fact that I can view the
results of different queries in tabs. I believe the built-in Eclipse
tools only allow you to view the current result set, and overwrite that
when a new query is executed.
I guess the short answer is that if I were you, I'd try both sets of tools
and decide which fits your style and working environment best.
