Hi Matt,

The verify functions works as follows:

1. When disconnected from the internet, an internal XML file which contains
the list of PTFs available at the time the product was shipped to
production is used. This file is sometimes updated during service - but
not always.

2. When connected to the internet, the verify function uses a version of
the XML file on an IBM server. This file is updated as needed when new
PTFs become available, and contains the most current information.

thanks,

Thanks Violaine, That worked.

Now another strange item:

When I do a verify connection everything shows fine, no ptf's needed all
is fine. But when a co-worker does the same she gets missing ptf's:
5722SS1 SI25857 and SI24173. We both installed from the same install
disks
located on a network drive and updated from the same depository on a
network drive. What would cause her to report ptf's missing and me not
to?
